Personalized HEST delays?

Anybody else been waiting an unusually long time for the personalized RYP HEST knife? As another week passes with no news of shipping, I'm quite disappointed with the situation. Nothing I can do but wait. Only thing I can do is report my disappointment to the forum. Sorry if I am a "whiner" but when I throw $150 down, it's a big deal for me.........:(
 
your getting a lot for your money , including a personalized copy of the book.... which he has to wait for you to order so he knows what inscription to write ... frankly the fact that it gets out there at all on time is amazing consitering how busy the people involved are....

i waited a few weeks for mine... i paid my money too... but you have to figure the supply chain for this limited run is not ordinary and we have been spoiled by modern stock/shipping systems.

if you think this is maddening you should see the other knives i buy......and the systems they use....
 
If he was signing and shipping the books from afganistan or somolia, I guarantee you would be waiting a lot longer. :)
 
As we all know, RYP travels a LOT. I think he signs the books & certificates as the orders come in. So if this is correct, the orders that come in when he is away will not ship until he returns.
 
I ordered mine Monday. I called the DPx people about it and they basically said it's all robert. That once he sends them out he forwards DPx the shipping info and they relay that email to us... I understand your pain, I hope we don't have to wait weeks longer.
 
Guys, I apologize for the delays. Wished there was something I could do. Hang in there, I'm sure you will get your knives.
 
Personnalized means goes through the hands of RYP since he often is away, patience is in effect. Mine took 3 weeks, worth the wait if you ask me
 
No doubt we're taking a rather whiny tone here. But bare with us gents, it's excitement not bitchery! :p
 
Yeah but I think Woodenchicken has been waiting an unusually long time.? I think I've read about his whining now for months now :). I would kinda be upset also.
 
the understand your whining, the worst is always the wait, but if only you could strap a rocket to the packet :)
 
Wooden Chicken... All the knives were shipped early this week. SO if you don't get it in the next 10 days please let me know. I was out of town for a bit and needed some more books so there was a 2 -3 week hole in delivery. I sign and personalize every certificate and book so its not quite as efficient as normal retail. The wait will be worth it. BUT if something does delay your knife. Let me know!

Do you notify the customer when shipped or will it just arrive one day? (I can't see the mailbox from the house)
 
normally, if I remember you get an email. Just checked my email archive, you get an email from the comeback alive store stating there has been an update in your order, it will say : shipped, then by looking at the order info on the website, I had a shipping number to follow.
