personalizer plus etcher any good

I am in the market for an etcher and I was wondering if
any one has used one and if it etches clean dark lines
I would be greatful for any in put

No reason to fork out the extra money for the Plus model. The bottom of the line personalizer works just fine. It may take an extra 5 or 10 seconds but for $99 less who cares. Also figure you just put in 20 hrs on a knife, whats an extra few seconds.
 
The power source does not affect how the etch turns out, the stencil does. I use only Chem Etch professionally made stencils for my name and get a crisp clear etch every time. I also make up temporary stencils for personalizing knives but these are not up to the quality of the Chem etch product and burn through quickly but one impression is all that I expect from them anyway.
