personalizing a knife/blade through name engraving

hi,

i own a sak and i wish to somehow personalize it by engraving my name on the big blade...

are there any possible negative complications for this? (bending blades, loss of luster, etc...)

Can be done with a diamond or carbide engraver. If you keep it small no damage is likely to be done.

Look up a jeweler or a sports trophy engraver.
