I was wondering if you could melt G10 and what kind of dangers does it have behind it, because I was thinking about like heating a metal needle or something and laying it on it to form grooves so you can make your own designs on it????

ANY SUGGESTIONS????

I think G-10 is a little like fiberglass. I don't think that melting it would be a good idea. However, you might try posting your question in Shop Talk...that's where the pros are.

I believe when G10 is melted it releases fumes that you don't want to breath. Your better off sanding it, or using small files on it. If you don't have a Dremel, use files. But you should still wear a mask and goggles whatever ya do.
I just sanded my Mini-AFCK to keep it from eating up my pockets. It worked out nice. I'll know in a few months how it works in my pocket. I posted at "Shop Talk" and found out a few tips.
