I really like the look of the new Ka-Bar Pestilence chopper and think it would make a great camp tool but I'm not totally sold on the handles.

Am I alone in wishing they would bring it out with a Becker knife handle ?

Hey Pit,
How are you my good man. Hey, buy a Becker and join the family man.
Have you ever used a BK2? Send me your address man.
As far as the Kabar zombies go, the handles are the same as the Johnson Adventure line, and they are very good handles. They look a bit strange, but they are comfortable in ALL grips.

The interesting thing about the ZK knives is the concept. Resurrection. We personify them as "undead killers", but it goes a little deeper.

Resurrected blade design.

I give you the WWII era, folding machete. Pilot Seat Pack designed, but with the ZK knives, you a fixed handle, and longer design

Who can guess where the others came from?

Oh, and I don't think that you will be seeing a BKT handles on one of those, who knows.

I have a fold up military machete, but I believe it's more current, perhaps Viet Nam era?

To be honest with you, I didn't enjoy the placement of the palm swell. It didn't seem to fit my hand. Those JAB handles sure are grippy, though.

I handled the Pestilence and the War sword. Did not like the handles. Which takes the Potbelly off my wish list.

Cool stuff Moose, I thought the design looked kinda familiar. Now I gotta search for the other designs! I wish everything had Becker Handles Pit, yes....everything!

I too came to this conclusion. Whilst using a pizza cutter to divide my most recent quadruple meat and cheese masterpiece I had stopped for but a moment to ponder the great advantage of a more grip tight ergonomic handle.

Hey buddy, how's it goin ?

Thanks a ton for offering the try of a BK2 but I'm really good in that size bracket and don't want to give myself anymore temptation, LOL !:D

A few people have echoed my concerns regarding the handle on the Ka-Bar so I might just have to wait for the re-release of the Machax to satisfy my craving for a small cool chopper....that will be my first taste of Becker knives....not sure how I've dodged em for so long !!!!

I will admit though that I've always secretly drooled over the Magnum Camps as well !:o

When I get my War Sword in, I'll post up a review with pics. I've personally been skeptical about the ergonomics, but have heard alot of good things about them as well. We'll see, either way it's a pretty cool knife.

when you hate it, send it to me :)

LadyHaze has already claimed it. She wanted a big chopper that was still lightweight and not too bulky... And she loves lime green.
