O man I'm gonna burn for this, but was an english major, so here goes :

Never use an apostrophe to make a name plural.
Incorrect: The Wilson's are here.
Correct: The Wilsons are here.
Incorrect: We visited the Sanchez's.
Correct: We visited the Sanchezes.

Ya, mine isn't perfect. Ya, "Punctuation Police." Ya, its the internet. Ya, it doesn't really matter.

BUT.

This ONE particular, VERY common error has caused my eye to twitch, and hair to fall out anytime i see it for the last ten years lol ! Drives me absolutely bat guano crazy. Heh.

More than one Emerson = Emersons.

NOT Emerson's !!!!

Lets treat this name with the respect it deserves !

We, as Emerson carriers, are elite ! Let us rise above the ordinary, ignorant masses !!

. . . Haha needed to let all that out. Figured the laid back Emerson nuts wouldn't mind a little light hearted blowing of steam.

I once complained about inconsistent use of plurals in the English language (deer deers mouse mouses Emersons Emersi, you get the idea) and an ENGLISH MAJOR told me to get over it - it made the language more interesting, and languages evolve anyway, ain't that right? Than you have Polish people who live in Poland, and Polish for your shoes in black. brown, tan, ox-blood, etc.
