Pet Peeves!

[JK Knives]

My first pet peeve is the ever popular "I`ll take it!" post when I put a knife up for sale. Of course everyone else thinks it`s sold, and never look at it again. Problem is, the poster never contacts you to buy it, or they do, but never send the funds!

Next we have the "special orders", you know the type, they are the guys who want a special knife that no one else would think of buying. Of course when you finish making it, they are no where around! I`m thinking of taking deposits to cover materials on those.

Last one. When I ship a knife I always ask the buyer to let me know when the knife arrives. I get told maybe 40% of the time.

What are some of yours?

PS They haven't arrived yet. OOPs I just checked the tracking. They delivered it to my office today. Oh well I'll get it Monday.

my main forum -related one is when people spell nessmuk with a ck, as in nussmuck. i dont really know why, but it really bothers me.

I can't stand bad spelling or lack of punctuation. Everyone, including me, makes mistakes, but some are so bad it's painful to read the posts.

Thanks. I am one of those that has been misspelling that.
I'm one of those that hates spelling errors as well. I appreciate it when someone points out my errors.:thumbup:

it took me a good thirty seconds to decipher all of that.

You`re one of the 40% good guys. Right now I`m sitting on 3 knives that should have been delivered. Instead I`m not getting any replies to emails or PM`s. :grumpy:

Poor spelling drives me nuts, though I have to admit I am aweful at it. I constantly am reading over a spell checking everything I type, but I know I'm not catching it all.

There is nothing that I can't forget. I try to either let you know or post a quick review as soon as I can. My pet peeve, " Get a Busse"

my major one is the wrong use of words ie your for you are, too for the number or for preposition, there for their.....grrr...gripes me....

"Your welcome" the welcome doesn't belong to them!

All those scenarios blow.
We have the same problem with special orders, at my place. I got a whole shelf of stuff that no one else will buy, and that the ordering party just could not live without when the order was placed. I guess there's a bunch of dead bookaholics somewhere around here...

Your situation has to be pretty annoying, since you make a specialty product.
