Years ago PETA protested the Talkeetna "Moose Dropping" festival because they thought it remarkably cruel to drop a live moose out of an airplane and then barbecue it....:rolleyes:

i also read that they have these huge freezers for storing animal carcasses that they have euthanized. and they actually kill more animals every year than any animal shelter.
 
All people are animals. Some animals, I think, are people. Then again, I don't think too highly of most people.

I eat beef, I wear leather, and I'm cool with this. Guilt-free dining for me means that when I'm having ribs for dinner, I drink microbrew instead of domestic and I recycle the bottles afterwards.

And I have a pet cat. Turn him loose? I do, several times a day. The ornery little bastard always comes back. If my pet refuses to leave am I doing something wrong?
 
convince him he is a person and needs to make a contribution other than just being cute and furry.

he should be out looking for work, cleaning the house when you are gone, or something else peta would see as acceptable.

perhaps, but the lady who heads the organization is insane. i dont know how many members there are but check the video in the link above, you will get a good idea of their activities and ideoligies.
