Hey folks.
I would really like to upgrade the disk on my 13. Im thinking either the 45 casing disk from the emerson site. ( is this bigger than the disk on my 2006). Im not sure what has changed over the years.
Or the jumbo disk from Pete Gray. As long as it does not affect cutting. I need the extra disk size for my meaty thumb and glove wearing.

Any issues with a bigger disk?

The Emerson disk is nice. They have 2 different ones. One is smooth the other is textured, 10 bucks difference between them. I think the grey is cheaper.

You can't go wrong with the Pete Gray monster disk. I absolutely love them and have been slowly replacing all my stock disks with them. It doesn't affect cutting anymore than a standard would if you were trying to slice something that close to the handle. I have had them on all sized models from the mini a100 to the super 8 and they just work so well.

I haven't had the Emerson disk, but I have had some body else's "ammo disk" and couple of Gray disks. I preferred the Gray Monster ones, they are very nice. Or the old stand by answer always works, get one of each ;)

Seriously though, if you did get one of each I am sure you could sell the one you don't like as much without too much trouble.

OK
Thanks all of you.
I really need to think and maybe find a video of the monster.
I may get both . But the price is a bit high to get both. I will make a choice and hint it to my wife for Xmas.
Thanks again, I will not hesitate.

I have a Pete Grey monster titanium disc on my my A-100, and it's definitely worth the buy. As much as I like the .45 design, I'd like to make one from a round I shot myself.
