An excellent video - it's fascinating to watch Peter as he assembles the hilt components; the messer he's working on has a side ring instead of the usual nagel. I can hardly wait for part 2!

I want to see part 2 also. I wonder if the grip he is sliding on is just to give him a feel for the finished product, it looks like it wants to have a peened pommel.

I'm hoping that there will be a pt. 2 and that the Peter will show us how he scribes in the decorative lines on both the ring and the cross in that later part. There was some discussion regarding this video in a historical arms & armor forum; someone noticed that the lines on the cross and ring are only reference marks in Sharpie pen! (You can actually see this for yourself if you watch in 1080p, full screen.)
