Here are my first impressions, the integral frame is totally sick!
It's my first integral frame knife and I can appreciate the challenges that it poses for the knife maker. I still can't figure out how Peter gets the pivot washers or bearings in there?
The fit and finish is also superb, no machining marks or flaws to speak of.
The grind is really nice and the edge is sharp. Another first for me was a knife blade with fullers. I wasn't sure if I was going to like them or not, but it actually serves as an alternate option for deploying the blade, I don't think that is the intent though.
Now for the most exciting aspect of the knife for me, the flipping action! This is one of the best flippers I have ever owned. I've had my fair share of high quality flippers from the most reputable knife makers in the game including Burch, RJ Martin, McGinnis etc. This freakin' knife flips with authority! You can't push the flipper without it flying open and engaging the lock every single time. Even on my best flippers I can intentionally deploy the blade partially, but seriously, this knife locks up every time!
To say I'm impressed would be an understatement. My only criticism would be the lack of options with the SNAFU. It would be cool to get different blade grinds, bolster, alternate pocket clip material, no milling on the handle etc. That being said, this particular configuration is ideal for EDC and I think Peter has built an outstanding knife with limitless possibilities.
