What happened to the Pete's Custom Knife Shop website? The one with the interactive "build your own" 110?

It's still there, just not as fancy. Click "Custom Knife Shoppe" on the bottom section of the opening page and go from there.

Which do you all prefer? ATS-34 or BG-42? I ordered one with BG-42 because I've never had a knife with this stainless steel.

For me its BG42 and Damascus for my faves. I carry a BG42 560 for my EDC, takes and keeps a great edge and cuts like crazy. Thats one you should consider, a 560 upgraded to BG42, add a One Armed Bandit and you have a Buckbenza. I've had Sebenzas, William Henrys and several high end custom folders and I still prefer the Buckbenza. And..it keeps me from using any of my pretty 110s!!!:D

The one I ordered has:

Blade: BG-42
Handle scales: Indigo Royalwood w/pins
Bolsters: Nickel silver
Finger grooves

I plan on using it. It will be my third Buck folder(I have a 422 that's about 15 years old, and a standard 110...I also have a Buck General).

My next custom 110 will probably be made with smooth waterbuffalo, no pins, nickel silver bolsters, no finger grooves and either ATS-34 or BG-42.

No need for a one-armed bandit. I can open a 110 one-handed with the standard downward wrist flick. I've been doing that since I was in my teens.

I have the jigged water buffalo in both the fg and regular handles, both are BG42, Great looking knives! I prefer the Bandit on my 560s, they are so lightweight it helps...lol.

It is only a matter of time before I break down and order a custom 110.

I've got a Bandit on my 110 and I love it.
