I finally got the knife I ordered from Petr Dohnal in Czechoslovakia.
It came with a nicer sheath than in his gallery picture.
Petr even made the effort to have his certificate booklet translated into English.
Knife and Sheath. The knife is 8.5 inches long the Blade is 4 inches long. The
balance point is right on the Stag spacer behind the bolster.
This shows the back of the sheath. The sheath is a work of art in itself.
The Blade is gorgeous!!! Damascus (O1 + ordinary steel, 300 layers, 60 Rc)
This one is razor sharp. I have a nice bare patch on my arm
Here's the Bolster, Spacers and mosaic pin. The Bolster is nickle/steel damascus.
The spacers are nickle/silver, stag and black fiber. The tang is pinned with a nice mosaic pin.
All in all, this is one of the nicest knives I have seen and it was one of the plainer knives in his gallery.
Needless to say it won't be the last Petr Dohnal knife I own.
I've already got him working on a Kerambit for me with a canted sheath.
