This is a great example of a high performance petty knife. It would also make a fantastic paring knife. Honestly, it's a great general prep knife as well.

The blade is constructed from A2 tool steel heat treated to 61 HRC. I performed all heat treating operations in my computer controlled heat treat oven. A2 offers good fine edge holding and responds well to stropping. A2 is not stainless, and will eventually develop a nice patina with use.

The blade is full flat ground with a very slight convex to aid in food release and cutting performance.

The handle is African Blackwood and Palm. While finely finished, it's not slippery.

The geometry is stellar! The knife cuts effortlessly and is truly a high performance blade.

This would make a great addition to any kitchen!
