Has anyone used this reel? I was thinking about using the 4730GXB for a trout pole. Any thoughts? Suggestions?

I don't have one, but a friend of mine does and he likes it a lot. I like it better than other reels I've tried in the ~$40 price range.

Bass Pro Shops also has a Trion spinning combo that's a very good deal if you also need a rod (other places may have the same combo). You get an IM-8 rod for $20 more than the cost of the reel.

I'm not aware of a better spinning combo for the money (~$60)

I have several of them, and I'd certainly buy more if need be. My club has about 10 of them mounted on our ice fishing equipment, so those get worked pretty hard, but they hold up well. They're pretty good reels, and are hard to beat for the money, especially if you can get them for ~$23 wholesale... ;)
