Here's an 18 inch 20.5 ounce Gelbu Special by Bura. Same story. Can't find a thing wrong with it. Edge up around 59 or 60 Rc and sharp enough to pull a few hairs off my arm. Beautiful saatisal handle with burl. Even chakma has some burl. Great rig. Same old perfect scabbard and frog in new leather by village sarki.

If my calculator worked right again the price is $112.50.

Any other wood handled GSs kicking around out there at this price, Uncle Bill? Or even perhaps a Malla?
 
Uncle Bill, did Pala hand out a couple of Khuks to those Marines? That way they just had to make sure the source of such fine knives had to be kept secure.

Just a thought. In any case God Bless all the workers in Nepal.:) :)
 
Where else can one buy such a terrific blade by a royal bladesmith for a mere $112?

Excellent grab, Roger! This looks like the long-lost twin to the one Uncle sent me when I ordered off the shopping site a couple months ago. Many khuks later this one remains my all-around favorite. He sure knew how to set that hook!
