If someone was in front of me, I'll cool my heels. Nice catch!

I cooled my heels for about .5 seconds. Then Uncle Bill's customer service kicked in and cooled my HIKV instead. :D

You're covered. Check your email. Today is unusually busy (DHL just dropped off 87 khukuris) and I'm not keeping up.

See above edit. I'll be sure to include a substantial Heineken tax to cover unloading chaos. 'nother round for the Cantina!

Just got this baby, and it's really cool. I've always been looking for a kukri that's more like a big knife than an ax, and this GS was just what I was looking for. My first impression was the knife is smaller than I thought. That's because my first kuk, a 25" siripati, then my second, a 15" BAS was both much bigger and expecially thicker than what I expected. It was hard for me to envision the kukri I'll be getting with just the length and weight posted. But this guy is perfect. Not too heavy, not too light, not too long, not too short. I remember a forumite commented that a 18-21" kukri is just the right length, and I have to agree.
The finish is beautiful, mirror shiny and nicely done fullers. The overall fitting and details are all well made. I think this one would make an excellent camping knife. Compared to my 15" ak, it's much narrower, and lighter. And unless I'm planning to cut down a tree, I'm sure it would be sufficient to chop some firewood for a camp fire. I'm very limited in kukri knowlege compared to the some of the forumites, but my opinion for two recent post is that this GS is the perfect size and weight for ultralight camping and as a weapon. It's not the best chopper, but it's fast and heavy enough. But then I'm not a big guy, (about 140 lb).
