Take a look at the plain YCS that I put up yesterday. Well, here's the story. When Yangdu was getting ready to ship she noticed the knife had developed a small crack in the handle overnight. We had a perfect version available which we're shipping to Pierre rather than this one.

The crack is minor and nothing serious -- super glue fix -- but it puts this knife into the blem category now and also saves you $20.

So if you're interested in a plain YCS by Sanu, 10/10 except for the crack, send me an email or call and I'll have it delivered to your door for $125.

Damn, Bill! You're really torturing me here. The YCS has to be one of the Bestest models in the line! ooooh, I'm fighting the urge for debt...

Keith the impoverished.

I gotta trade some blade to get some more, or something.

The coolest part about etching/blueing the khuk over other blades is the size of the 'canvas' so to speak. Like what other knife is gonna give you a 2.5 by 10 inch expanse on which to work my magic? Only some sossun patas would come close, maybe the spanish cinquedea.

BTW, when you say debt is good, you are not insinuating that I could owe you for it? Tht seems a bit unconventional, or maybe like a lay away program?

Keith - The agonized but talented, and still poor for a while.

Yeppers...I think something is about to take place in this thread!

Question: Yvsa designed this blade. Does it have a fuller tang than standard Khukuri's?

munk

Well, munk, it is still there. Are you in? you and I are the only ones eyeballing this beauty, apparently.

I need to open a new line of credit for my khuk fund.

Patience..patience...

Keith, the poor and patient...

Nope. But I think I would move on this YCS before that, just cause I luv the massive look of the YCS more than the grace of the Chit.

Two kidneys!!!..........you still have two????

**Ash wanders off muttering to himself about beginners** :) :) :)

Two kidneys!!!..........you still have two???? >>>Ash

Very funny. NOt everyone can live with an inserted Fram oil filter, you know. I wonder how often you have to change that sucker.

munk

I guess Ash drinks his Fosters in the 55 gallon oilcan. (For the record, I like Castlemaine's XXXX better, but both have good humor in their 'adverts')

Strewth!

Keith

Munk,

That depends greatly on how often I crack open a six-pack of Victoria Bitter (forget that Fosters stuff :barf: ) :)

XXXX is ok, but I prefer VB or Boags (Tasmanian) - Ducks & heads for cover before my mate from Queensland sees this - Hi Glenn :)

Back in my drinking career, I envied England, Germany, and even Australia for beer. Our second amendment has your's beat though. At least you can still own a Khukuri...I tell you, if one is going to be unarmed, the only consolation would be in drinking fine beer.

Just (mostly) kidding. Congratulations on your new Yvsa special.

munk

I completely agree about the second amendment - thats why I'm stocking up on Khuks before some idiot decides I'm not old enough to buy & use a knife longer than 1 inch long without supervision.

As for beer - a friend(?) has got me hooked on some of the white beers from Belgium - I highly recommend them.

I've has some belgian ales and beers. The Dutch brew som real smoothies, too. Have you had Chimay? Big bottle, real cork, trappist monk, nuff said.

I like the bitters, too, but Yanks ain't really into it. Had John Smith's Bitter in England, good stuff. Here all you can get in the bitters dept. is some D'Alsace, a French bitter.

There's a Danish beer called Elephant. It is the strongest malt liquor for export that i have ever had. They let us have hi alcohol content beers here in Indiana. Nothing around for us to hurt ourelves with, cept a few HI khuks...
