PGK steel

Hi guys,

I was wondering where I can buy the steel sheet of "PGK" (with special alloy 1.2895). I know that its produced by the german company Lohmann, but they are not getting back to me Would like to open a knife production in Austria.

I appreciate every help!

Dean , welcome to Bladeforums.

PGK seems to be very similar to CPM Cruwear, CTS PD#1, Spectrumwear ( ingot version, the others are powder steel) and Zapp's Z wear. If you can't get PGK maybe Z wear or one of the others will be more available. There are even more names/versions of this steel. It's a great steel and can be very versatile with a good balance of attributes.. Good luck.
