Anyone seen these? they have them over at 1sks.

It is an OTF, opened by the sheath, i think i will be mad if the get the pattent on this idea (since i was planning on making a knife like this)

I sometimes get upset when simple, ideas are pattented and they are a no brainer evolution of things already in existance.

Sure flame me for this, but i think that the strangle hold some cuterly pattents have are not good for the industry, should emerson be allowed to own the idea of a hook? No hooks have been around for years. Should phantom knives be allowed to pattent this? maybe, but i hope that they dont.

I think i am just venting.

there in lies the frustration

I have a knife company fantasy, and this was similar (maybe different enough to get buy) to some of my ideas.

I have a binder full of knives and knife related gadgets, i guess i should apply for patents (i think i have a year to act on them then?)

Right now a friend and i are figureing out how to produce our knives.

I guess i better TM the name too incase that gets stolen from my mind.

(btw, i am not mad at anyone, just frustrated, phantom knives deserves to succeed)

I've seen that idea somewhere before wasnt there a knife called the switcheroo or something like that that you hung it from a lanyard and when you pulled it off it it opened the blade??

I saw an ad for one with red handles in a recent issue of Tactical Knives. Has anyone handled one of these knives yet?

I seen these knives at the SHOT Show, pretty dang cool! Les and Marianne Halpern have been working on this idea for quite some time and the Patent is applied for and I am not sure but I think is pending. They are 2 of the nicest people you would ever want to meet and I wish them every success.

They have at least 3 models, and different carry options.

Ditto everything Rob says. I have handled several and I can tell you they are very different from anything you've seen before. Really innovative design. Comfortable in the hand and well made. And yes, Les and Marianne are incredibly nice folks. I get all my titanium, torx screws and g10 from them.

the only place i have seen their knives is on 1sks, so they must know spark, why are they not on the forums?

el cid, I dont think they have a web page up yet. There flyer only shows a phone number. 877-400-8641 (toll free) Also, I cant remember but I dont think all of them are chisel ground.

Yeah Peter, killer framelock!
