Phil Hartsfield - Am I missing something?

Just noticed this item on ebay:

I honestly believe one would have to be afflicted with some type of mental defect or an overabundance of monetary assets to spend even half the "buy it now" price for this piece.
What am I missing here?

That guy is over charging BIG TIME! I've got a Kozuka on order with Phill that is bigger and fancier than that knife and well under the buy it now price. Like Steven said, Phil's stuff sells high because of his reputation and due to the fact that you will have to wait 2 years if you want to get one directly from him. I only have 21 months to go
