Phil Hartsfield

Very nice. What kind of steel is that? It is either the steel or the finish on the steel that I like vey much.

Keith, that is "plain" ol' A2 tool steel. Mr. Hartsfeild's steel of choice. He puts a VERRY user-grade finish on his knives by using a worn out rough grit belt. Perhaps someone can chime in and state what grit that is.

It certainly looks like 60 grit!:)
I love his knives and hear they are verry tough due to his heat treat technique but I just can't afford one.:(

Arms, that pic above, my eyes are going on me but it looks like the knife is changing...or turning...or I need to see a Doc? cause the shadow beneath the blade isn't changing with the knife's turning...?;)
Very cool effect you have there and a dangerously sharp looking knife too!

Man you guys are tough critics, maybe I should post all my pay jobs here for you guys to critique. I'll get on that right away.

Well, When you do special stuff, you get special attention...:D

Seeing the last knife you posted, makes me want to make myself one similar! Thanks for the inspiration!
