Picked up another of Phil Tham's small gent's folders. What caught my eye with this one were the scales. They are dyed silky oak and darn good looking!! Blade is a 2.5" Wharncliffe of CPM-154.

I'm not of fan of the wharncliffe blade but that's personal preference. Nice knife, especially like that special oak. I also like the DI and first mammoth folders in the set. You have a good eye for quality and value in the makers you collect.

The top two are my favorites as well, Mark. What I like most about that mammoth is the fact that the front and back scales are very closely matched:

The newest one I bought primarily for the wood. The stag ... well, I had seen it ... but passed it by for quite some time. Then, on a whim, bought it. Once I had it in hand, discovered that I actually liked it more than I thought I would!
