I am posting pictures of my new knife. It's a Phil Wilson Bow River drop point. I'm not posting this to brag but when I was trying to get on Phil's list I looked for pictures of his knives and reviews and there were precious little so two years later I wanted to post mine for other potential buyers. The knife is made from .125 stock K390 hardened to 64+ Rockwell hardness(I outlined K390 and 64 on the bottom in ink so it would show up in the pictures, it looks to be written with a Dremel tool). The blade is a little over 4 1/8" long cutting edge and 1 1/4 wide and the knife's OAL is 8 3/8". It has black micarta handles with a navy blue G10 spacer to finish out the handle because it's a half tang knife. It comes with a taco style sheath spaced for a large tek-loc. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask. Here are a few pictures. If you want more pictures just ask.

Nice one. Wish other makers made this pattern with these dimensions and types of steels (higher hardness slicing style).. Kydex looks great too. I'm trying to find one to buy.. Enjoy that knife!

Very nice, looks a lot like my K294 Bow River other than mine is a Trailing point.

Had a Bow River, great blade but a little too wide for me. Phil was supposed to make me a B&T but I haven't heard anything from him in a long time. I need to follow up.

Congrats on a beautiful blade from a world class maker.
Mine is also a trailing point in K294 - long lost brother to Ankerson?

Great looking knife, congrats, I consider myself to be a very lucky owner of 2 of Phil's custom knives, there aren't so many this side of the pond

Yes I was hoping he had a trailing point but it was a "bird in the hand" decision. I have read so much over the years about his knife so I was wondering if my expectations would out play the real thing but it lives up to my every expectation. I have a thin 10v (.064 measured from .065 stock) from Big Chris at 64 Hrc and this thing cuts just like it does. I am thrilled with these two knives. I have a few other high wear knives too ( s110v mule being re-ground and para 2 being re-hardened to 64 and ground thinner) but these two are head and shoulders above the rest.

Your best bet is to look up Big Chris custom Knives on Facebook or here on BF. He uses the same steel types and hardnesses and makes some mean slicers. Like I said it took two years for me to get this one from Phil but only three months from Big Chris start to finish. I know of seven or eight makers that work on these steels but Big Chris is my recommendation because he works fast, makes exactly what you want, prices are cheaper for higher quality knives, is so down to earth and cares about your experience buying and using the knife and really makes some of the best knives I've found and I've spent thousands of hours reading reviews about knives and makers and talking to them on the phone. You'll thank me later :)!

Post some pictures here if you can. I'd like to get more pictures of his knives out on the web for others to see. That goes for anyone else that has Phil Wilson knives. Making 30-40 a year I'm sure there aren't many in the world but I'd like to accumulate as many here as we can.

Wow...color me green. Great looking knife!

Congrats to you and I hope you enjoy it!

Here's the two I own. One on the right is a Bow River, the other is kind of a bird n' trout/Smoke Creek combo.

Done any cardboard testing on the 125v? I'd imagine you would need three walmarts worth of boxes.

Yeah, Cut a linear mile of cardboard with it, still had a lot of bite and was still sharp enough to slice phone book paper, could have cut a lot more..... A lot more... Strangest steel I ever worked with, much different than steels like 10V or S110V etc.

Jim thank you for posting yours as well. I have a s125v coming as well from another maker. I think you know who I'm talking about but I want to let him release the news himself.

I know who it is. :D

I think I have one coming whenever to test I think.

Phil doesn't really use S125V anymore, he made very few in S125V.

That's about how I thought it would go. Your wrist probably needs a vacation.

Here you go Sir!

Yeah I normally stop when I realize the knife will just keep on going, my bin will only hold about a mile of cardboard give or take.

With the amount of time that it takes to cut that much material it starts to get very tiring.

The interesting thing about S125V was the amount of bite it still had after that, it was scary....

Went back and checked my notes and it was 5,500 FT of cardboard.
