Hey guys, so after doing some searching I'm having trouble finding, or even pricing a South Fork by Phil Wilson - it would be greatly appreciated if you guys could help me out with that.

On a related note, what do you guys think of him? I love the knife design but the attitude of the designer is always important too :p

Just send him an email. He is a very nice guy and very knowledgeable. He'll give you the price, it depends on what options you pick. Also, he has lot's info on his website. He's been out of town for a bit so might need to catch up on his emails, but he will respond and answer your questions.

What Ace said. Phil is a gentleman and a scholar in every sense. He makes some great knives, too. You may have to wait a little bit, but it will be worth it.

I agree, In addition to being very skilled and knowledgeable, he's a great guy. Yes, a true gentleman, and a person that keeps their word . Working with him is a no lose situation. Joe

Curse, don't know if you have made contact with me at this point. I try to stay on top of my e mails but admit to sometimes running 4-5 days behind.I live in a remote area and when I leave to do a little fishing in the ocean it is sometimes a week trip. I also take several trips a year to Baja and that can be a couple of weeks out of touch. Some times I can find a hot spot and get back quicker. If you e mail me and do not get a reply in a few days then give me a call in the evening 7-8pm California time. Thanks to all for the kind words. Phil

I dont have any knives made by Phil (yet) but it is always really cool to see a busy custom maker take the time to answer a few questions like this. I look forward to dealing with him one day
