Philadelphia and Balisongs...

I didn't think of it until just now. I dunno, it hit me like a bad ricochet. So...I'm going to Philadelphia in a few days and I'll be over there until the 2nd. Are there any knive shops I should check out in the Weschester, Aston, Philadelphia area that I might be able to pick up a tachyon or a new BM? Maybe in a mall or something? Does anyone know the area well? I may have a car, but I might not. So I guess it has to be somewhere easily accessible. But then again, I'm open to all suggestions.
 
can't speak about westchester or aston, but i can tell you that there isn't much in the way of balisongs in the center city area of philadelphia. there's a couple of remington knife shops (one on ~11th and walnut?) selling your basic spydercos and crkts for msrp and a surplus army store (i.e.goldberg's), but nothing that would have a tachyon or a new BM. at least, not the last time i checked.

not really worth looking around philly for a balisong, i say. stick to cheesesteaks and watch out for the stinko-gingko nuts on the sidewalks.

hey, you're gonna be in my neighborhood.

The arent any placs that I know of that sell balisongs around here. I first got interested in them last year while away at school. It does kind of suck that we can't really handle any balis before making a purchase but that is why I got interested in the forums here, to learn about some stuff and make an educated purchase.

PS- are you a hockey player? a couple years ago, when I played in high school my high school's 'home' rink was in Aston and we played a lot at West Chester too, just wondering...

Yoda: No dice on the Hockey thing. I'm just visiting Aston. I'm in Omaha, Nebraska right now.

Bali's are easy to find here, but they're usually cheapies or something. There's currently 2 places in town that sell BM42's, but I want something different.
 
Mr Yoda, who is your favorite team? I'm a big hockey fan, my fav team is Blackhawks in the west and Rangers in the east, but Hawks all the way!!!
