I saw this maker in the "shop tour" of Knives Illistrated (June 2000) and was wondering if anyone has had any first hand expierence with him. I love the looks of the stag handled scale release auto on page 54. Anyone know if he has an email address/website? The mag. gave his phone number but I am on the night shift this month and calling people is tough.

Thanks,
rich

Phil is a great maker. I have one of the knives pictured in that shop tour. I don't have the mag in front of me, but it is on the third page of the tour, near the top, I think it is the bottom knife in the top pic. G. Werth damascus and ivory scales. His scale releases are great and I will probably purchase one in the near future. He has really perfected this in the last year or so. Besids that Phil is a great maker to deal with or just talk to. He will always make time and is very willing to work with his customers. No website, I did find an E-mail though: philipb@power-net.net. I found this a while ago though, and have not tried it yet. Let me know if it doesn't get you to him.

You guys are sadly mistaken,Phil Booth is a fireman in Waialua and lives up on Pupukea, and hes never made a knife in his life.

RJ, You will love your Booth knife. Phil is both a gentleman and a fine knifemaker. Next, you need to meet him. Just look for white hair, he'll be under it. Look hard, he isn't much taller than I am.

Congrats, RJ. I'm sure you'll love it. I know I love mine, and I think my next one from Phil is not far behind. I think this one will be one of his little scale release minnows.

All of this talk about how great his knives are is really making the wait tough. I am glad that I have some other custom autos come in soon.

Joe357- what style is your first Booth knife?

Rich

RJ,

My first one is actually pictured int the KI "shop tour" It is on the third page of the tour twords the top of the page. It is a small gents folder, ivory scales, anodized TI bolsters, George Werth damascus blade. It's a great knife for dressy carry.

Dudes!

Check out Phil Booths website at:http://www.philipbooth.com/

It offers a good view and some photos of his knives. As well, I saw his stuff at the Badger knife show and was really impressed! I am a newcomer to the folding knife thing but I must say I think his stuff is the tops.

My best to all,
Brian

I met Phil a couple of years ago up in Michigan at the Wolverine show. Top notch maker and great to work with!

I have since received my knife and I love it. I am having another one made to my specs. I have may custom autos and the one from Mr Booth is top shelf quality.

Wow, haven't had a chance to be back here in a while, and I finally make it back and a post that I contributed to is right back on top! Amazing! Anyway, I did just pick up my second knife from Phil at the recent Badger show. Actually this one is my girlfriend's. It is one of his minnow liner locks in all damascus. Gold screws, filework, a really nice looking and well made knife.
