the closest thing i got that fits marginally reasonable, is size #0x75, but i doubt it's the correct size.

can anybody please tell me what size i need to work on the clips?

sheltot, it's odd, but i tried the #1 (it was also recommended by a member of the spyderco-forum).....and guess what? it's way too big.

then i tried one of those miniature philips heads, this one was a tad smaller then a #0. guess what? it was a perfect fit!

i tried this on my delica, police and military.

it seems smaller than #0 would be the correct size, it's too bad that with those miniature-things you can't exert some force. i think i'm going to the local hardware store soon and see what size the store-owner thinks is right for the screws......

kind of confused right now, because i've had 2 recommendations for #1, ye they seem way too big.

maybe Sal Glesser can chime on this?

per another thread:

go to Home Depot and look where the screwdrivers are sold and look for a small multi-bit phillips driver. sizes range from #1 to VERY small.this set can handle taking off/putting on your clip screws. *also comes in torks*

hope this helps

dennis75,
Do you mean that a #1 philips will not fit in the "x" at all? As long as it fits and doesn't want to cam out, you should be ok. What knife are you working on?

working on a delica ss, police and military. the #1 is just way too big. i've read on another forum that the tool itself and the angle of the bit is very important also, it seems that the philips head size-standards should be taken with some grains of salt. one brands #1 is not like the other brands' #1. i'm going to the hardware store and get me one that fits.
