I heard Phill is not too well. I hope he bounces back. Phill made great contributions to the knife community.

Spoke to Phill today and he sounds good. going thru some things but he is home and tough as steel so expecting a good recovery for one of the greats as a maker and a person.

Phill is one nice man. I meet Phill at his shop along time ago. Bought one of his knifes for $50. Like I said a loooooong time ago. Glad to hear he is doing better. :)

Guys,
I talked to Phil last night and he is asking for prayers or good vib's sent his way. Both Phil and Pat believe in prayers and Phil has a tough week ahead of him. I do not believe he needs calls as he called the house and Bryan my son was over and had a heard time understanding him. He was fine when I talked to him later so would not suggest calling as it is to much of a strain and Phil has this thing if you call him he will call you back. I am sure cards would be good also. Phil is a very determined man and if anyone can over come this, I would bet on him but he is in a tough spot right now. So please send a few his way this week and the next few months and we will all be there with him! We live in the same comminity so I will try and keep eveyone posted here for Pat and Phill jr..

oh wow, i do hope phil gets up and about soon.
here's a legendary knifemaker who deserves all our hopes and prayers.

Dan, thanks for the update. I hope all goes well for him, as there are times when being a fighter has it's advantages. And thoughts and prayers for his family as well. I'm sure this is hard on Pat as well.

I've never met the man, but some years back I read an article on him in one of the knife mags.
It was a good read. He came across as a very humble, and talented man....

Smoke going up from Oregon for Phil and his family
