Here is the other special one I was talking about, the Phoenix Max. This was a spare time project, the customer was in no hurry for it.

The specs are:
11" overall
6" blade
1/4" thick O1
I don`t remember the handle wood!

This customer was a pain to work with, he kept changing his mind on if he wanted a clip point or spear point!

(BTW - The customer was me, this one is all mine!)

Thats one bad a$$ looking Phoenix John.I like the clip point.
Don't you just hate those scatterbrained customers.
Hm wait,that sounds like me.

I`m doing the oil on the handle today, will post more photos tomorrow. I`m also going to be making a small skeleton handle knife to ride piggyback on the sheath to cover the small chores.

As I`ve said before, this is one of my favorite designs. You did a great job on it!

No my friend. WE did a great job. If I recall, you added the sexy curves to the handle and I added the thumb scallops. Good stuff!

That`s the fun part, working with the customer (or in this case the designer) to get it perfect! I really enjoy talking with people!

BTW - These will be available to be ordered. In 3/16" stock they will be $190 + $8 shipping, and in 1/4" stock they will be $215 + $8 shipping.

That looks like a beast. I love it.

That is one of the most comfortable looking handles i've seen -- great looking knife!
as much of a pain as the customer sounds like, I think he did a good job once he made up his mind. :D
