Hello from Russia

Damaskazh (artistic etching of the metal)

So that is not pattern welded? Could you PLEASE elaborate on that process? I'm not seeing anything for it in google either. Great knife.

This drilled stitch holes seems too large for this type of thread.
My Best wishes to Anna.

Nice package! The etching is just out of this world. The heart shaped stitching is a nice touch as well!

I'll try to translate the description of the technology into English soon. It's not so easy with my knowledge of English.

1. dilute automotive enamel to the desired consistency (determined experimentally, there is no strict recipe)
2. cover on the blade of the paint as shown on the video

3. kept in the solution of ferric chloride (FeCl3 · 6H2O)
4. polish. Everything is ready.

Wow Dmitry that is awesome. Thank you so much for making the video. You just pour the paint into a water trough on a decline to get that swirl or is it sitting on top of a running motor?

Hello I do not use the motor. A small slope is present, but it is not necessary. If you achieve the desired density of the paint, then it spreads over the surface of the water itself. The main thing to pour gently, a big chunk of paint will sink immediately.
I'll show you another knife with damaskazh today. But there is another interesting technique - "cemented" (saturation of carbon) stainless steel.
once again sorry for my english. I translate with online translator.

Your english is great. Спасибо

That's a beauty, the etching matches the character of the wood perfectly. The sheath is the cherry on the cake.
