I realize this will be "old hat" to you folks who have dealt with Buck in the past, but it's my first customer contact with the company, and I want to give my impression:
I was blown away!!!
I called Buck yesterday to inquire about getting a "spa treatment" for my two dot 110. First off, as I expected, I got a recorded message ..... not just some perfunctory, machine sounding "voice", but a recording by Chuck Buck! I know it was just a recording, but I was impressed that the Chairman of the Board of the company thought it important enough that when people call in, they should be greeted "personally" by him!
Anyway, I wasn't sure which # to press to get where I wanted, so I pushed one that sounded logical to me ..... turned out to not be the department I needed, but the gentleman (Randy, I think, but can't remember for sure) was very helpful and connected me to where I needed to be. I got a recording asking me to state the nature of my call, etc., and to leave my phone #, which I did.
I received a call this afternoon from Debbie - probably the best customer service representative I've ever had the pleasure to speak with! After a very nice conversation, I asked how much this "spa treatment" would cost ..... I was blown away by hearing $6.95!!! ..... Still can't believe it! (And that includes return postage ... unbelievable!)
Both people I spoke to were very helpful, nice, and personable - not like people at some companies where you can tell they are only "going through the motions" and that this is "just a job" for them - you could tell that these "Buck people" cared about their company, cared about and were knowledgeable about Buck knives, and cared about you (me), the customer.
I am impressed!!!
