A little while ago I mentioned my grandfather Leland J. Stacy. He was a physicist who worked for Bell Labs, and had ten patents. One was for the modern selective station phone system. I finally got the patent book out and shot some (poor) photos. The first shot is the cover of his retirement book that Bell Labs put together for him. The second is a photo of him when he got his PHD. The third is a page where the numbers of all ten patents are shown. Next is his first patent, and last is his first phone system patent.

Those family history things are real treasures ,take good care of them.

Telephones ? They all started with Antonio Meucci who invented them .No , not Mr Bell !
