Many years ago I reparkerized my issue Ka-Bar and a camillus pilot survival knife. I used a kit I ordered from a catolog which cost about $5. kit consisted of a 1 Qt. bottle of parkerizing liquid and a small bottle of finisher. liquid was heated on a coleman stove in the yard in a stainless drink mixer, knife blade was set in up to the guard and let sit for about fifteen minutes.result was a nice gray black blade that looked better then it did when new. I'am posting this because i've been reading alot of posts about how to get a patina on a carbon steel blade and wondered if any one else has tried this on there mora's.
Parkerized blade take's a coat oil and holds it a long time preventing rust looks pretty good also. YMMV
