Phosphor Bronze and ??? for Mokume
Can it be used? If so what would make a good contrast?

I'm not going to enter that table now

Bonding is only one aspect, you need to flatten and manipulate and pattern it.
In general copper has easier working characteristics

If you are stuck on bronze I would pair it with nickle silver.

THe above book by Ian Ferguson is an outstanding book if you plan to get into Mokume. I have it use it quite often when I want to start to pair different elements for Mokume.
