Art is in the eye of the beholder; over the past couple years I have seen thousands of photos posted by the people of this great community. I really appreciate photography. Every now and then while browsing the threads I will step back and say... '"Wow, that's a great picture." Eventually you will notice that many of those times the photos are from the same forum member and then you find yourself looking forward to their next great picture post. With that said, I wanted to create a thread of some of my favorite photo artists. I spent hours combing through members photos posted this year, I downloaded nearly 300 photos onto my laptop and chose my favorites to include in this thread. Hopefully these members do not mind me featuring their great contributions, if so, let me know and I will remove the posts. In the meantime, enjoy these amazing pics and remember to acknowledge these artists with a tip of the cap in your daily interactions :) Keep in mind these are just the folks that have posted a lot of pictures that "catch my eye" and this is by no means a slight against anyone else; for example my own pictures are OK but in no way achieve the great quality of the photos presented here ;)

Additionally, if you have pictures of your own that you are fond of or if you have your favorite "traditional knife photo artist", feel free to add them to this celebration of photography :D

Thank you for the great photos @Fodderwing @Ratbert @Gevonovich redsparrow redsparrow @mykel m @cigarrodog WE APPRECIATE YOU! :)

Kevin, good thread idea. We all at certain times have been wowed by photos posted here on the Porch. Now those special photos can be gathered in one location for us to enjoy. At the same time this thread gives us a way to show our appreciation to those who post such terrific photos.
Certainly you have started this thread with some wonderful pics from some very artistic people. It is an honor for me to see my photos among them. To be completely honest... with so many talented individuals to chose from I'm actually quite surprised to see my name included among those you selected.
Thanks for starting this thread, I'm looking forward to everyone's future posts. And thank you Kevin, very much for all you contribute here. You are helping to make the Porch better and a great place to hang out. -James

Awesome James! That's the response I was hoping for ;) I figured as long as the original photographer was given credit that it would not be a problem, glad you are enjoying it :D I know when I am trying to get a photo that I am happy with often times I take 20-30 pictures of the same knife/pose and then sort through them to pick out the actual photo I post. Considering how awesome the photos are that get posted in the various BF threads, I'm sure a HUGE amount of effort goes into them and I appreciate that for sure! :)

Pretty bold to take and use other's pictures (in this quantity) without asking them first.
