Hi everyone :)

In a way of saying thank you to everyone who has been ever so nice to me on this forum I thought it might be nice to do a giveaway.

Since people seem to quite like the sheath I made for the SOB. I went back and made another one with some improvements (wider belt loop etc...).

To spice things up I asked Jaxx if I can do it as a photo challenge and he said yes (thanks Jaxx)!!

Here is the challenge:

- Please post a pic of your SOB in any photogenic environment of your choice.
-extra points for black+red micarta/G10 or white/ivory G10
-extra points for mosaic pins

One apology is that I am only a mere hobbyist who has recently started making sheaths so my work probably will fall short in quality compared to the more experienced smiths out there with stars and stripes on their epaulette. However as far as I can see it should be ok (pic below).

The sheath is made from burgundy latigo, hand stamped and hand threaded.

Its by no means a requirement but if you could very kindly give me some feedback on the design and build quality that would be lovely too. :)

The challenge is open from today for a fortnight. I'm not sure if mods and sheathsmakers usually hold back on these challenges but please don't hesitate to apply. I owe a big thank you to everyone on this forum :)

If you have any questions please ask away!

Finally Jerry thank you for designing such a nice knife it is by far the most fun knife to make sheaths for! :)

Wow that's really nice of you !!!!!! and your leather work looks excellent !
Quick question can we post more than once and more than one picture ?
Or one picture one post ?

Thanks duramax :)

Sorry I should have clarified that, one photo per knife please. So if you have 2 different SOB (e.g. different scales etc....) then please feel free to post 2!

Ok great !!! And one last question due variants count too ? Like trail point sobs :-)
If you can't tell I love the SOB !!!! Lol :-)

that looks excellent. I am just starting to work leather. I got the rest of my tools coming in next week. Cant wait. This looks professional to me. I might be missing something that a more trained eye might see, but it looks great. Thanks for the give away, now to pull those SOB's out.

Only fitting I start with the one that started the obsession :-)

I seriously love those sheaths of yours. Exactly what I'm looking for for my SOB, which is seen here on active duty the day I received it:

Thanks for the opportunity. That is a really great looking sheath, the only thing you might do different is put your mark on the belt strap so people know who to credit for the work. :)
Here's my entry, Competition Finish Tigerhide SOB with my oldest boy saying "May I have sheath, please!" At four, he's still working on his grammar. ;)

I don't have a sob, but that sheath makes me want to get one! The sheath looks awesome and compares admirably to the excellent work of the pros here.

Awesome sheath! Thanks for the chance! Does tiger hide count as black and red? If so i got both!

These are awesome looking knives, I'll have to check them out, especially since im unaware of what SOB is referring to. As far as the sheath goes, WOW! Great job, I think its wicked sweet, put one of these great knives in it and you have a seriously BA setup. This whole thread including the sheath is some very satisfying knife porn, which, besides to ask some very stupid questions here or there is exactly why I'm here! Thanks for posting!

"SOB" is an acronym for "Son Of Badger", which is this knife model's name. :) No stupid questions, we were ALL new here once.

And my entry...have no fear, I have other SOB's in need of a fine leather sheath. ;):D It's a good lookin' sheath, thank you for the chance at it! :)
