Hi all

I made my first JS knife a little special and following the advice of several people, I finally made the decision to have it photographed by a pro. I chose Chuck Ward to do the shot and as you can see, he did a wonderful job!

Some specs: 9 3/4" blade, 14 3/4" overall. Stainless steel guard and butt. Sterling Silver ferrule engraved by me. I also made the sheath.

comments are welcome

Very nice! Beautiful handle! Which kind of wood is that?

Kind regards,

Jos

Thanks for the kind words guys.

Jos, sorry I left out the wood type. It is stabilized curly maple. The figure of the wood just dances in the light when you rock it back and forth.

Everything came together nicely on that one. Super engraving too. That's a great canvas for your first JS stamp. Congrats!

Brian,
That's agreat lookng knife.
I agree that Chucj did a good job shooting it.

Good looking knife and the engraved Sterling Silver ferrule is a nice touch. Your knives are better looking in person and the picture helps convey that.

I know what you mean. The wood has incredible depth and the lines change hue when it's moved in the light.

Thank you all for your compliments. I do appreciate them.

You can appreciate what the figure in the wood does, this handle was cut from the same piece of wood as your knife.

Thank you all again

that knife has some nice flow happening, and I also think that the spartan engraving is very nice.

You made the right choice getting a pro to take the picture. That's a professional job you did on that bowie.
