I got one MAC kitchen knife. This 6" utility knife http://www.macknife.com/page2.html
It worked so well for my wife and I (and I like the steel, 57 to 59 hardness and the design), that I got two more (a longer 8" Chef, and a 4" parer). I got a magnetic knife rack but haven't had time to put it up yet. A nice feature of the MAC knives is the hole in the blade that I've used to hang them in the meantime. It's very handy this way and prevents edge dulling via hitting hard objects. Here's a photo of the MACs hangin' on small nails on the side of a kitchen cabinet. A very handy location. I think MAC has a great idea with the hangin' hole. A great poor man's kitchen knife storage method. And they cut like crazy.
