My computer was getting worked on the last couple of days, but I got it back and wanted to post photos and thanks to RAT for the survival kit I won. It was mailed on Monday and I received it Wed. I was at work and had my wife bring it by, I couldn't wait to get my hands on it.

I'm impressed with the RC6, came shaving sharp (I've got a bald spot on my arm to prove it), better than some other brands straight out of the box. Reading the specs I thought man this is going to be a big knife (the largest fix blade I had was just over 10"), but I must say the feel and balance are great. It feels like a knife not a sharpened pry bar.

I was needing to repack my first aid kit, and that is taken care of now. Not a problem for me, but thought RAT might want to know, one of the iodine wipes had leaked out in the first aid bag. Might have happened during shipping.

This is an impressive bag of gear, ready for you to put a few food items or other gear you prefer in it and you're good to go. Can't wait to get out and put it to use, as soon as I can. I'll post some in use photos when I can.

Survival Instructions & Tips

If needed here are the Specs

Yeah, that's a cool kit for your truck or something but it has too much junk in it. Here's our latest design. Fits in a BDU leg pocket. Vacuum packed so you can either put it in your own container or leave it as is until needed. Patterned after the older USMC survival kit. These will be given to the particpants next week in our training class. Not sure when we will offer them for sale to the general public. This is an excellent kit.

Comes with the following:

Water bag
MicroPur water tablets
HeatSheet Emergency blanket
50' snare wire
Sparky K1 ferro rod fire starter
NATO Storm Survival matches
Complete Fishing kit
Victorinox Recruit pocket knife (subject to change)
SparkLite Tinder
2 X 3 signal mirror with aiming screen
Brunton Star Baseplate compass
NATO Survival Whistle
BCB original Wire Saw
Compact Duct Tape
Survival Instruction sheet
RAT Survival Card

Well, more money toward RAT is always a good thing, IMO. Thanks for the tease on that, Jeff.
