After recent discussions here about the use of extreme distal taper to enhance balance, handling and striking impact in large fighting bowies, I wonder if anyone might share some photos of bowie spines showing examples of especially thick fighting blades (at the ricasso) tapering to thin, sharp points?
I searched the threads on Bill Bagwell’s knives, as he is known for this design, but found very few photos of the spines on his knives—almost all the pics are side views.
To me, it would be interesting to see shots of full spines on this style knife, paired with side shots to give a good impression of how different blade profiles are paired with extreme taper.
Thanks in advance to whoever might respond,
Will
