Photo Request: Full spines of fighting bowies

After recent discussions here about the use of extreme distal taper to enhance balance, handling and striking impact in large fighting bowies, I wonder if anyone might share some photos of bowie spines showing examples of especially thick fighting blades (at the ricasso) tapering to thin, sharp points?

I searched the threads on Bill Bagwell’s knives, as he is known for this design, but found very few photos of the spines on his knives—almost all the pics are side views.

To me, it would be interesting to see shots of full spines on this style knife, paired with side shots to give a good impression of how different blade profiles are paired with extreme taper.

Thanks in advance to whoever might respond,
Will

Will I will take some picks of some Bagwells they have massive distal taper

Might take me a day or so but I will try before Blade

That would be great, Joe--I would have asked you directly, but didn't know if you had left for Blade yet and didn't want to pester you. Anytime you can get around to it is fine--no rush, and don't worry about waiting till next week if that's easier. I just wanted to get this posted while I was thinking about it.

Thanks a million,
Will

Will, I don't have any photos of large knives with distal taper but wanted to Say, HI. I'll be at the Blade Show in booth 235. It is listed as Baldy Mountain Forge. I have a new line of hunting/utility knives made of 52100 that I'll be selling there. There are 5 models with prices from $200-$400. Are you going to be at the show? If so stop by and check them out. If not send your address as I have a light weight hunter of cru-forge V for you to test. Take care, Rick

RICK!

Great to see you posting here, my friend! I won't make it to Blade this year, but hope you have a good show and am excited about your new line. It's an honor to have your first post to my thread, and I hope you'll give us the benefit of your knowledge and some pics of your incredible blades from time to time.

Sent you an email with my address, but I think I referred to the blade as cru-wear instead of cru-forge V--sorry about that. I was excited. :D

Edited to say-- I checked out your website @ dunkerleyhandmadeknives.com/ but didn't see mention of your new line. Some fantastic stuff there as always, though. Do you have another website for the new line, or... ?

Thanks again,
Will
