Photo request: NMFBM & new NMSHBM and/or original SHBM

With the new (LB)NMSHBM coming out at some point I am wondering which BM I should go after, the NMSHBM or NMFBM.

Eventually I want a matching set of:
NMFBM or NMSHBM
NMFSH
NMSFNO
And a 4" to 6" model that I have not decided on yet. (feel free to make suggestions)

My SHBM not sure if it is the origional. I know its not one of the 1-300 and not sure what one came first. Sorry I dont have any of the other knives that you listed but hope my pics help you out.

Great pics thank you. Is the blade above the table while balanced on the handle in 5th and 6th pics?
 
Bottom knife is the NMSFNO

The knives above the NMSFNO are SFNOs

Mamun's lovely NMFBM is sporting tiger hide linen micarta


And lookin at these pics has me really missing my SHBM! Can't wait to try out the new one...

Using the CGFBM in the pic above as the reference point, I would say the new NMshbm is definitely longer than the original as seen below the CGFBM in this picture. :cool:

Also, Rob your SHBM is doesnt appear to have a swedge on the end. THis is what differentiates it from the 1/300 SHBM. You can see one above in mamun's post-1st pic the two to far right, and my pic here below. THe tan canvas bottle opener is on bottom...see talon hole by Jerry for Chicago show way back

Yeah I knew the difference between the 1/300 and my mistress, just wasnt sure if the 1/300 series or the one like mine came out first. So is the 1/300 series the origional SHBM or did one of the other variations come first?
 
I dont know the order of the SHBM variation releases but there were the SHBM, SHBM 1/6, SHBM 1/300, and the SHBM LE. I think those are the production releases and not one off's or customs.

If anyone knows how they were released, I'd like to know that as well.

Ahh ok. So I think that means mine might be one of the first ones. I know the differences on the 1/300 but what is the deal on the 1/6? And the LE is just a lil longer and satin right? Im liking some of the ones I saw pictured here in the satin variation.

My SHBM LE is actually slightly shorter than than both the 1/6 and 1/300. It's satin, numbered and has a swedge similiar to a 1/300 SHBM. I have seen pictures of SHBM LE's withouth the swedge and there are sterile SHBM's as well (Cobalt has one).

1/6 SHBM has the narrower swedge.

Ahh ok. Thank you for clearing that up. These SHBM in all the various variations sure are sweet blades. Too bad I am laid up and watching my pennies waiting on disability checks to arrive. As it stands now I need to catch up on a few bills already and the Gladius from the custom shop is ready to ship to me as soon as I can pay fer it. Before all this happened I had been setting aside some money towards the new LBNMSHBM that is just around the corner. I will simply have to wait. Hopefully I will have my finances settled and the gladius paid off before the new SHBM's hit the company store. I have contemplated selling my Busses on hand atm to get the bills caught up and get some money out on the gladius. If I go that route I will be keeping my present SHBM methinks, but the other 2 busse I own might be on the block.

Lady luck and time will tell...

Wonder if there is any interest in a exotic male dancer aged 41.... cant move to good since the lung / rib issue and Im not as in shape as I was when in the Army but who knows. Maybe if I slug back a 12 ounce glass of JD to start the party off ( I used to do that back in my heavy drinking days) then spray my feet with some lighter fluid and light myself up.....Im sure I can be entertaining.
