Photo request: Nyala and Small Inkosi size comparison

Hi all,

I'm getting back in to Chris Reeve Knives after not owning one for a while. I'm considering a 2 knife daily carry - one fixed blade (Nyala) and one folder (Small Inkosi). I'm just wondering if there's enough size difference between the two to need both. Any comments from personal experience or photos of the side-by-side would be a huge help.

I don't have a Nyala right now, so I cannot provide a photo, but I can tell you from having handled both the size difference definitely warrants carrying both. The small Inkosi is a killer small knife. Probably the best sub-3" blade folder I've ever held. The Nyala has two great blade shape options, a nice, grippy handle, and it's a great size for a fixed blade EDC. I think this would make a very solid combination that could meet nearly any need.
 
Thanks for the feedback Anarchy48. Seems like I might be on the right path. Would anyone recommend the Mnandi over the Small Inkosi for a two knife setup with the Nyala?

Great photo Iron City. If I'm reading the specs right the Small Inkosi and Mnandi are roughly the same length with the Mnandi having a slightly shorter handle.

This is true, but they are very different knives. The Inkosi is really a great all around EDC fit for any task. The Mnandi is more of a gentleman's carry.
 
I have a couple of Mnandi's but my small Sebemzas always seem to find my way into my pocket. The Mnandi feel more like a skip joint style knife vs. the Sebbie more of a work blade.

Not sure how the specs of the small Inkosi compare to a small 21.
 
I've owned both a Mnandi and Small Sebenza 21 and I liked them both but probably carried the 21 more because I felt like it could do more but was still a small knife. Since the Small Inkosi is slightly smaller than the 21 it may be perfect. I have one arriving this week so we'll see.

Can anyone post a Mnandi, small 21 and Inkosi together? I'm also interested in the small Inkosi/Nyala combo, but the Mnandi is very small for my XL hands, and I wonder about the small Inkosi also. The Nyala looks perfect. Apologies for the slight hijack...
 
Thanks, m.and. That does help. That small Inkosi is pretty beefy for a knife the size of the Mnandi.

And the combo of small Inkosi and Nyala sounds even better now. :thumbup:
