I had posted this in a thread on another forum, but thought some of you may want to see it: This is my EZcube tent, from www.ezcube.com. The tent is 30 x 30 x 30, and comes with 2 nice light stands, daylight balances floressent lights at 5,000K, and a manual. They also "give" you a second tent that's 12 x 12 x 12, which I've found very handy, because flooring tiles will fit in the bottom if you round the corners a little, and that's a great source for background materials, from Lowes, Home Depot, etc. I don't know why my eyes look they've been rearranged in this picture, the pixels didn't like me very much I guess.

Here's a shot of the tent in it's collapsed state, for storage or travel. This was big medicine for me!

Here the lights are fired up, and my Sony DSC f828 is ready to shoot a bowie from my collection. The camera is on a really nice Manfrotto tripod.

And finally, here's a picture of a mesquite and antler bowl I made. I wanted it to appear to be floating in air. I got pretty close, but I need to work with my f-stop some more. I had to let photoshop cs bail me out a bit on this one.

Robert, Thanks for the information. If nothing else it has given me some ideas. What is hanging on your wall?

Robert that's a great setup. You seem to be having far more luck than I am but I'll keep at it. I need to get a tripod too, I think that'd help immensely. I really like that bowl! Looking forward to seeing more of your photos,

Thanks guys! Raymond, those are my patterns for my rocking chairs www.mesquiterocker.com. Been making them from Mesquite for 24 straight years now. I'm ready to retire and become a full time knifemaker, but my wife says I have 24 more to go :o)

Hey that's a great little setup!!! I'm definitely going to check that out.

Thanks for the post.

Sean

nice.....!

Sean - great knife in your avatar. could you email me a bigger picture?

It's buried in their website Trick, but you can search a little and finally find it. I paid $225 for mine, plus shipping. Ebay is the reason I got mine also, among other things. I have a lot of mesquite handle scales and blocks I wanted to photo, and keep the pictures consistant. This way, once I find the right mix with the lights and camera settings, I can shoot anytime day or night, and they'll look the same.
