i figured it'd be fun to put together a photo thread of your largest knife next to your smallest knife, i'm at work now so i don't have access to my digicam, but i'll post pics when i get home...

my Largest/smallest pic would be my Spyderco Chinook and my Case Small Stockman (small spearpoint blade deployed), maybe my Spyderco Jester....

biggest on top, smallest on bottom.

My largest is either a khukri or a 21" bayonet. My smallest is probably an OldTimer Pal model. I'm still on film photography, so a picture would take weeks to post...

Here are mine (biggest and smallest... well, everything I own...)

The biggest are the crappy katana and the Muela clip point. The smallest are the LST mini or the SPOT. All knives are arranged in order of my liking them, with more liked blades farther from the centre, and blades I don't like as much near the sword... And pics are clickable.

And do please forgive the crappy photography... the decent tripod is downstairs, and I didn't give any thought to lighting at all... Taken indoors at night.

Great idea for a photo thread!

LoL, iubigred007! That pretty much sums up the whole idea.

I liked Rat's multi-knife, descending order pic so I'm going to copy him. Only problem is I didn't shoot straight down like he did but at an angle. Now I have a serious perspective problem. D'Oh! :o

I don't have any pictures of them side by side, as then ya might not even be able to see the little guys... But here they are.

Big one at 24" overall:

And a couple smaller ones, though not my smallest:

This is a cool thread idea. My largest and smallest. PJ Tomes bowie about 13 inches overall, Simonich mid-tech Bitterroot about 4 inches.

What are the dimensions on that Tomes bowie? Love it!
Roger

Hey Roger - Tomes "DE Henry" bowie, 8 inch 52100 blade, 12 3/4 inch overall, dark presentation stag, tapered tang, nickel silver guard.

Now for the bad news. Several months ago I sold this one to a forum member in CA. After he received it, he emailed me that he was unhappy with the deal, pointed out why, and we undid the sale. I honestly never really noticed it but he was correct. The stag does not butt up against the guard so there is a little gap there and the worst thing is that the stag on one side, up near the guard has pulled away from the tang enough that you can actually hold it up and see light through the gap. I have though about talking to PJ about possible repair work but have not done so yet. (I still like it)

Stuff shrinks. That's why I generally do not go for knives with a full exposed tang. I would talk to P.J. about getting that one re-handled. It is a sweet piece and the glaring gaps are going to diminish your enjoyment of it.

Not my largest and smallest, but a wide size range. These are some of my Himalayan Imports blades.
On the far left is my Falcata, it is 27 1/2", on the far right is my Sarge knife, it is about 7 1/2".:)

Jeff - Looks like you did a lot of polishing on the clips & hardware of your knives.

Man, that is one bad ass khukuri.
