Photo Thread: Lanyards, Clips and Pouches

I'm curious to know how you guys carry and/or accessorize your flashlights, knives, keys, gear, and so on. What types of storage, clips, pouches, swivels, or other connectors or carry techniques do you guys have for toting all this stuf around? How easy is it getting to it when you need to?

Please post a photo and/or link to what you use, and why it works for you!
 
Yeah, I was aware of that one, which is what got me to thinking about how to tote around all this stuff. I have some ideas in my head, but wanted to get input before I hit the ground running.

Fwiw, I prefer the QD keyring thingie made by Victorinox over the rather common Taiwanese-made versions...just me, I guess.
 
Just 2 days ago I started teaching myself how to make my own little braided lanyards...and I an liking the results. I wish I could post the results...but alas, no digicam

Plumber, do you have some web links for lanyard making you can point me to? I remember making some as a kid in camp, but forgot how to do it.
 
i put small lanyards on all my tip up carry knives it helps drawing them, never could figure why MT put them on tip down knives, but they look cool i guess.
 
I use lanyards all over the place as an art accessory but more usually as a grasp extension.
I get Mercleashes from MERCOP
I think I saw a thread (in the to sell gadets forum?) he posted on his stuff.

My Krein TK1, D2 and micarta with alum pins and ARC LS with a smattering of leashes I'm waiting to put on packs. Get rid of the small metal tabs and put these on to make access easier. I put in some different colors that I have.

The TK1 is a small neck Knife and the Mercleash adds to the grasping from the sheath. I use it every day.

On my Commander with a Ti/CF stick. Again grasping extension. No fumbling.

If you haven't visited or chatted with Mercop. He's a wealth of info and can make most everything :) Plus a nice, but big, guy...hahaha

I'll tell you. Just go to the sailing section at your local bookstore and look for the knot book. That's what I did. I wish I had some websites for instructions, but all I have a book. Sorry I don't have a digi cam. The book I use is the 'Handbook of Knots Expanded Edition' by Des Pawson. I mostly do a square or round crown sennit. There are some other nice designs in the book also.
