Photography supplies online?

Hello. Anyone know a reliable and honest discount online store for photography equipment? Specifically, I can no longer buy slide film in any local stores. And I'm interested in buying a set of colored filters for B&W photography.

Where do you guys buy this stuff at?

Yeah they generally have pretty good prices, but more importantly they are honest. Anyway my experience with them has been all from walking into the massive store, only a quick train ride away.
 
Chalk up another vote for B&H Photo. I'm very happy with them when it comes to audio equipment. :D :thumbup:
 
I ran my own wedding photo business for 13 years, and I can tell you that the majority of professionals use either B&H or Adorama, in that order.
 
Do you ever get to Albuquerque? There is a store there near the SE corner of UNM campus called Camera and Darkroom that sells all kinds of equipment and supplies, including used. Also Kurt's Camera Corral. There used to be a place just west of UNM on Central that was open like two days a week that sold all kinds of used equipment.

I'm pretty far from Albuquerque, but have shopped for used cameras in both of those stores when I lived there. They were sky-high on used camera prices - I suspect because of college kids needing cameras for school.

I got a pretty good deal on a used Minolta X700 at a camera shop in Colorado Springs, but I don't get up there often any more either. That was seven or eight years ago, and it's still my 'good' camera.

B&H has received more of my money than I care to remember. And will continue to do so, even though I am on the other side of the world from NYC.

I guess it is the same with all online retailers, but you do have to be careful to ask for exactly what you want. Do your research first!
