Photon carry method

I'm kind of disappointed with the way that they can turn themselves on in my pocket. Even with nothing else in with it. I have since carried them on a ball chain around my neck with no problems. Where is yours carried?
 
I carry one in my right front pocket on the chain with my keys. The other is attached to a zipper on my waist pouch with a quick-release clip. I have not had trouble with the Photon II coming on in my pocket.

Gatekeeper, I'd have bet on them being P3s. In my opinion, the "Winky, Winky" modes do not justify the aggravation and the battery cost. No wonder the battery compartment is a breeze to get at.

Trade them off to a buddy with a Gadget Fetish and get yourself some PIIs. I am.

Yep, that sounded like a P3 complaint. I carry my P2 on my keyring, and have never had a problem with it.

I, too, keep a photon II on my keychain. No problems yet and no immediate plans to buy a photon III. Hey, the photon II is already a great product, right? I don't consider the photon III to necessarily be an improvement.
 
If you have a problem with the P III turning on, just leave it in the least bright, constant on mode. This will give you about 1200 hours of battery life. Walt
 
My P3 is always on low setting. It's just frustrating to lose battery life that way. It works just fine around my neck, but I'm looking for a different method to carry more.
 
Walt, they may advertise 1200 hrs, but I kept one of mine on the low setting and it was dead in like a month of ADs. I still use PIIs that are on thier original batteries after a year and a half of use.

I keep a red PII on my neck knife chain, and a white PIII on my biner key chain, when I kept it in my pocket though, I had no problems with it switching on, but I think I had one from the batch where the buttons were real stiff, I guess after reading these complaints, that aint such a bad thing anymore :)
 
I carry my white one on my coat as a zipper pull, my sapphire as a key chain, and I keep my red one hanging from my rear view mirror on a ball chain to illuminate the dash compass in my car.
 
i have a white P2 and a red P3 on my biner keychain.

can't you just turn the P3 to the auto-off mode? you'll waste at most a minute of juice if it turns on accidentally.
