I want to replace the LED in my PhotonII. Should I just goto Radio Shack and get a 3V or 6V 1/8" LED or is there a better place to get them?

Thanks,

Clay

If you are replacing it because it is damaged in some way you can get it done for free from the Photon sight, they are guaranteed for life.

If you are just changing it because you want to, I would suggest also switching to a single 2032 3v battery, at least to start with. About 1/2 the LED's that R/S carries will fry at 6v pretty quickly. The LED currently in the Photon is 5mm in size.

Hope this helps

Thanks for the info, Brock. I was thinking of finding a 6V Red and giving it a try. I will look in my electronics bag and see what I already have in stock...

Also, where is the best place to get batts for your photon? I have several spare 2032's but need somw 2016's. Thanks!

Hi, the cheapest place I know of the purchase them is cheapbatteries.com If you are in to eBay you can get them there for about 1/2 the price of even cheapbatteries.com if you look for a couple of days, just make sure with shipping it is still cheaper than cheapbatteries.com
