I've asked around here before about making the 11 my 1st Becker, then the BK14 took my fancy, now I just picked up an unused BK2 off the trading post here.

I seriously though about not getting it but I've been lusting after that sweet hunk a CV so Long that I figured a might as well as I'll just want one till I get it in The future.

I have a couple of field rigs already, I don't know why I need it, I just do..

So I guess I'll be posting some pic of the carnage coming if I can remember that I should be breaking work for pics ;) lol.

Coming soon..

Welcome aboard! There aren't any wrong answers in the BK lineup, so don't be surprised if your collection starts to grow. :)

Theres definitely a 14 still I the works but that comes after some other purchases, a khuk, tramontina, and maybe some more Moras??

See there I go again, I don't need that stuff, no more wood processor tools, all I need is a 14, that's just about all the blade I require.

Why is it that I just dropped $60 on one Becker yet I still need another? Lol

It has..begun

My collection is far from complete, but so far I've had no trouble out of my BK2 (my first Becker), my BK9, BK11, BK14, or BK13 (which came with the BK9). I like the 11 and the 14 for EDC, but I've been eyeing the BK16. I wear mostly cargo shorts or carpenter jeans, so I think I could just slip it in a pocket and no one would notice. Now, to convince my wife that I need another knife!

you will like the bk2 it's a beast of a knife that should last several life times~!

Excellent choice, after you've fully experienced the raw power that is the bk2, the only natural progression is to want to dabble in more beckers! Either fine tuning your skill with something smaller or just unleashing more pent up aggression with something larger like the 4 or 9.

Welcome to the club.

The BK2 is one of the most common "gateway Beckers". My first Becker was a BK2 off the sale forums here. Looking back, it might as well have been a dealer in a back alley. :D

the addiction; you'll love every second of it
Yup, just checked and it's scheduled to be here tomorrow (Thursday), so I dot have to start jonesin' too bad waitin on it to get here. Will do some opening pics when it arrives.

Thanks for the congratz on finally gettin in on some of this steely goodness TD

Great Choice! The BK2 was my gateway Becker and its just a big thick beast of a blade. Welcome to the addiction I mean family and please do post pics once she arrives and also as you start to indulge in the quest for "personalized perfection".
The big question is what will you pick as Becker #2?........I think the BK11 is a fine companion for a BK2.

Becker came today and I must say, I'm blown away O.o

It's much less clunky than I had imagined it would be and and skinnier than I had imagined.

With it's more narrow blade shape it wears better than my warthog but is Beefier and in the same size class as my "go to" fixed blade, the 1247.

It lies more flatly against the body and feels even lighter than it is! :)

I thought that I would need a smaller knife because I didn't like the weight or clunk of my warthog though I loved the blade but somehow this thicker knife outwears it and I'm pretty satisfied. Don't think I'll be needing another knife just yet. The Bk2 is an excellent companion to itself.

Though it's safe to say that the 14 and a khuk machete are still on my short list.

It appears that I have an older generation 2 with no extended pommel and safe to assume higher glass content sheath.

Took plenty of pictures and will be uPloading soon. I been workin so hard man.. Just wanna lie down in fetal position lately.

I fetal'd with the BK2 when I first got it. LOL Best sleep I had in years!

When my work buddies text me and ask what I'm doing, I say, "I'm chopping up some sh/t in the backyard." Always gets a laugh.

Its happened to me also! Bidding on a BK2, and looking at more to come. Nearly as bad as collecting Glocks(?), of which I have six. Great info on this newly found site, and learning more on each visit. Glad I was fortunate enough to investigate and purchase a Reeve Shadow back in 1988, as I believe its worth much more now than I paid for it then. Cheers.

Welcome to BF. Beckers are definitely cheaper then glocks and don't need ammo ;)

Thanks for the welcome! Perhaps I prefer the Beckers because they seem to contain the same positive atributes of the Glock - and not as loud. ;-) Cheers.
